OVERVIEW:
In 2021, Waveland’s Ground Zero Hurricane Museum (WGZM) became one of the host sites for the Smithsonian’s traveling exhibit Crossroads: Change in Rural America. As part of playing host, WGZM needed localized advertising and complimentary exhibit materials adapted to the pre-existing exhibit branding— which included social media campaign, print & digital advertising, event signage.

Along with hosting the Smithsonian’s traveling Crossroads exhibit, WGZM needed to develop a local extension to the main exhibit. This local extension took the form of 10 local/county display boards and a lecture series. Together with members of the WGZM board of supervisors, I researched, co-curated, and designed content about various aspects of Hancock County, MS and turned them into 10 branded display panels that would be featured in their own exhibit space. These local displays, as well as the accompanying Crossroads lecture series, required their own advertising, event signage and other print materials.
