OVERVIEW:
Quilt Tales: Stories Through Fabric was a temporary exhibit that I, as the Project Director, co-created with Waveland’s Ground Zero Hurricane Museum (WGZM) in 2022. This was the first full WGZM-curated exhibit. Quilt Tales brought together uniquely-crafted quilts from residents all across Hancock County, Mississippi to share their individual stories and educate museum visitors on the legacy of quilting as both an art form and method of historical preservation.

As an additional part of Quilt Tales, the museum partnered with The Arts, Hancock County to host a Fiber Fest that included demonstrations and sold all kind of fiber arts, fabric, and wool. For this first-time event, I created a collaged logo-mark to be utilized in present and future Fiber Fest branding.

During the run of the exhibit, we also had a Quilt Trail throughout Hancock County, inspired by the many barn quilt trails throughout the United States. I also developed the logo and branding for this activity, as well as supplementary materials.
