OVERVIEW:
The Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge (ACGBR) fosters the creative capacity and vibrancy of the capital region through advocacy, resources, and education to an 11-parish region. They provide professional development for creative professionals & educators, performance series, in-school artist residencies, and re-granting of private, municipal, & state funds for artists & arts organizations.

For our proposal, my team and I rebranded their main Arts Council logo by keeping the emphasis of the logo on the “A” while adapting it to reflect a fresher, bolder direction. The structure of our “A” was created to reference the structure of the new triangular-shaped building the ACGBR plans to move to. For the sub-brands/program branding, we only used elements that made up the main Arts Council mark (color, typeface, line weight, aspect ratio) to maintain consistency between all the brands. Using these parameters, we created and developed unique brands for four of their main programs/secondary entities: the Firehouse Gallery, Recreational Arts Classes, Baton Rouge Arts Markets, and Artsplosion! Kids Camp.
